WRITTEN COMPOSITION TIMELINE

I will give you a topic to write about at the beginning of the week, on Mondays for Advanced or Tuesdays for Basic. You will have then one week to carry out your projects.

WRITTEN COMPOSITION GUIDELINES

File name should start with your name
computer typed
word document (not pdf)
font size: 12
extension: 250 words maximum (advanced)/125 words basic (basic)
spacing: text must be double spaced

 

The next week you will submit your essays through our Edmodo platform group. I will open an assignment at 9:00 a.m. the following Monday (Advanced) or Tuesday (Basic) after I give you the topic. The assignment will remain open for 48 hours. The deadline to submit your writings is on Wednesday (Advanced) or Thursday (Basic)  at 9.00 a.m, on the week after I give you the topic in class. No pieces of work will be admitted after this deadline.

Attending class, at least one of the two days in the week you have to submit your writings, is a requirement if you want me to read your essays.

The following week I will send you back your texts pointing out where the mistakes are.  On Monday (Advanced) or Tuesday (Basic) before 11.00 a.m. you will find attached in the original assignment a document with your writings and my comments.

p= preposition
g= grammar
sp= spelling
pt= punctuation and capital letters/lower case
t= tense
wf= word formation
wo= word order
+=word or words missing
?= I have no idea what you mean 🙂
ex= the words are English but you don’t express that idea in English that way. You need to rephrase

Then you will have a week to hand in the corrected version.
